The picture to the right shows us installing stucco lath in the stucco installation process.
This home is shown before stucco pop-outs are installed around windows and doors.
Stucco Installation Process – Pop-Outs
The next stucco step is to install the stucco pop-outs around each appropriate opening and then install the stucco base coat with fiberglass stucco wall isolation mesh, then stucco the home.
Any color of stucco can be applied once the stucco base has dried completely. The finish is maintenance-free and a perfect investment for your home!
We Get A Permit!
First we pull a permit with Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and order a dumpster for trash and porta-toilet for our workers.
Next is the lathing process where we install 2-ply, grade D, water-resistant paper. Colorado Window and Door will apply window moisture seal tape around window openings and install pop out profiles around windows, doors and garage doors.
Next, we will apply a 17′ gauge wire lath and request the first inspection by the Regional Building Department. Colorado Window and Door will then begin the brown and color process which includes a brown coat with stucco base plaster system with optional wall isolation mesh and/or stucco primer.
We allow cure time and then begin color coat which will be hand-troweled. Final inspection will then be completed, again by the Regional Building Department, and your new stucco will be done!
